Iceland delivers fishing boat to France
|
Trefjar Ltd, of Hafnarfjordur, Iceland, has delivered a new
fishing boat to the harbour of Port-Joinville on the island of Île
d’Yeu, France in March.
David Beneteau, of Île d’Yeu, is the owner of this new trawler,
which has been named Etendard II.

Etendard II, LOA 9.9m, is
made to the Cleopatra 33 model, with a beam of 3.6 m and a depth
of 1.3m. Etendard II has a 1000 litre fuel capacity, and 100 litre
water capacity.
This new boat comes equipped with an Iveco C78M55 engine, and a ZF
36IV gearbox with a 192:1 reduction ratio to provide a range of
working speeds of between 12 and 17 knots.

The boat is fitted out for net and line fishing. It will be
netting for 4 months of the year and lining for the rest of the
year. The boat has two specially fitted1000 litre tanks for
holding live bait. Etendard II has an 8.5m3 fish hold, and its
main catch is sea bass.
Deck equipment includes a net hauler from Girard and the longline
gear is from Able.
