Fourth 13 metre Seigla delivered to Norway

Icelandic boat builder Seigla has delivered its fourth 13 metre fast fishing boat to Norway.

Vardøyfisk II was delivered in November of 2009 to Øystein Enoksen of Vardø in northern Norway.

Vardøyfisk II is designed as a multi-functional vessel for net, line and crab fishing. The net compartments can easily be installed and removed. The fish hold is prepared for live fish/crabs. When containers are used the middle wall can be partly removed so it is easy to move the containers.

Vardøyfisk II, 12.95 metres LOA, was made by Seigla Ehf in Akureyri, Iceland, and measures up with a beam of 4.59 metres and a depth of 1.40 metres. She was constructed with the Seigla hallmarks, the drop keel and the GRP sandwich PVC construction hull.

Seigla fitted out Vardøyfisk II with a Yanmar 6AYM-GTE engine, with a ZF500IV gearbox (ratio 1.97:1) driving a Duncan fixed propeller. She also has a Kohler 6.5kW generator and automatic start control. Danfoss Sauer provided the two hydraulic pumps on the engine, a 147 litre and a 75 litre.

The ship itself accommodates for a crew of 4. Vardøyfisk II has a fuel capacity of approximately 3600 litres and fresh water capacity of 200 litres as well as a spacious fish hold, 26m3, with adjustable compartments.

Vardøyfisk II can boast HMI interface system, a touch screen menu that can control the lights, pumps, hydraulics and the drop keel. The wheelhouse electronics include three dashboard-mounted for the Furuno M-1934 Radar, camera control and the Olex plotter, alongside the Furuno SC-50 GPS/Compass also mounted in the dashboard
 

In addition, Vardøyfisk II h a Sailor VHF with DSC, a Furuno FA-150 AIS-A system, a Furuno GPS GP-320, a Simrad AP50 autopilot, QS50 joystick, RF300 and RI35 rudder indicator, as well as Simrad FU50 follow-up steering and a Matre pilot guard PG-1 with movement sensor. A full set of duplicate controls are fitted at a deck control point.
