Newbuilding no 403 from Karstensen Shipyard Ltd
in Skagen, Denmark was handed over to Danish Owner Skagerak
FiskeeksportA/S , Ma n.
Dir Mr. Iver Espersen, Hirtshals on 3rd Novemberber
2007.
The new vessel replaces the owners previous
“Strømegg”, which was built in 1975. Mr Páll Joensen will be
skippering the “Strømegg”. He has been spippering the old vessel
since 1986.
Descreption:
The hull is built in steel with two continuous decks, main- and
shelter deck, and with forecastle- and boat decks. Hull shape of
round bilge construction with bulbous bow and -sternskeg, flared
stem and transom stern.
Below main deck the hull is subdivided into the
following watertight compartments: Forepeak, bow thruster-/ sonar
room, deep fuel oil tanks, insulated RSW-tank (8 tanks) section,
with central RSW-pump room, engine room with main engine connected
to one reduction gearbox with one propeller in fixed nozzle. Abaft
in engine room stern thruster with intermediate shaft. All aft
aftpeak with fuel oil / fuel oil trimming tanks.
On main deck the vessel is arranged with:
Forepeak, electronics room, vacuum plant room, trunks for
RSW-tanks with centre corridor and RSW machinery room and HP
hydraulics room. Abaft trunk section accommodation section SB and
HP hydraulic room / store room with exhaust trunking PS. Aft of
accommodation section purse net bin SB, switchboard room PS and
store room with steering gear all aft.
Accommodation
on main deck to be with 7 cabins, each with en-suite
toilet/showers.
Shelter deck is arranged with stores room
forward and after store and harbour gen-set room in watertight
forecastle. Just abaft forecastle 2 purse seine split winch for
dual purpose as purse seine- and trawl tail-end winch. Fish
handling deck with hatches for RSW-tanks, water separator and
chute system. Fore deck also to be fitted with main deck crane and
smaller fish pump crane. SB raised deck with aft purse gallow and
Triplex (purse-) net hauler.
From midship and aft steel superstructure.
Superstructure to contain accommodation. Accommodation to consist
of mess room with adjoined dayroom / lounge and galley with
adjoined provision stores, lobby and smoking room.
Abaft
superstructure SB purse net handling area with ring needle and
recessed purse net bin. Intermediate roller. main net stacker
crane and cork line stacker to assist handling purse nets. At PS:
Trawl handling deck, with 1 single netdrum, leading to roller at
hydraulic operated gate at transome. Hydraulic guiding pins
arrangement and tracks for midwater toe-weights arranged in line
with netdrum.
Off-set to PS exhaust casing with ventilation
intake and –fans. All aft trawl gallow with intermediate gallery
deck, hanging points for 2 trawl blocks.
At forecastle deck aluminium foremast and
anchor windlass house / steel break-water/ anti rool tank. Abaft
breakwater, cradle fish pump and related hydraulic hose- and fish
hose reels. At SB bulwark 2 swing-able gallows, serving for purse
seine operations, with forward doubling as trawl tail-end gallow
when trawling.
At boat deck: Aluminium deckhouse below
wheelhouse containing accommodation with skippers cabin, mates
cabin and hospital, each with en-suite toilet/baths.
On SB side deck: Midline winch and on deck
abaft: SB and PS trawl winches.
At bridge deck aluminium wheelhouse and
mezzanine deck PS for MOB-boat and –davit (and funnel). |
