Fisherman Johnny Poulsen and his
crew have started fishing for cod with the newly
buildt "Anette" this weekend.
 In december 2008 the 16 m long boat was ordered – now, just 11 months later it is ready for deployment in the fishery along the west coast of Jutland.
The new ship is built around a hull, which is commissioned from the Vestvaerftet in Hvide Sande and built in Riga. All outfitting and finishing work was done in Thorsminde.
It is the third vessel the 37 year old skipper - who has been in fishery since the end of the 9th grade - has set foot on since he started working self-employed about ten years ago.
Back in 1998 he and a brother of his bought their first ship. In 2005 Johnny Poulsen became the sole owner. In 2007 he commisioned his first new building.
 Johnny
Poulsen has secured sufficient catch quotas for the ship. He e.g.
purchased his fathers ship and passed the quotas to his new ship.
"We have the quota we need - and we have no trouble catching fish
- at present it's only the prices that cause worries".
518 "ANETTE" is a sister ship of 347 L Palermo, which was
delivered to Thorsminde in September 2008.
