T-3-T ÅSTA

Cleopatra 50 from Trefjar

Åsta B was completed this year by Icelandic boatbuilder Trefjar and is the first of a new 50 foot design to be delivered. The yard has two more being built, one a passenger boat for Icelandic owners and the second a netter for owners in Belgium which is due to be delivered this summer. Åsta B was delivered to Eskøy AS, of Troms in Norway at the end of last year and is the second boat this company has ordered from Trefjar.

Åsta B has an overall length of 14.99metres, a beam of 4.65 metres and a depth of 2.25 metres.

She has a Yanmar 6AYM-ETE engine, with a ZF500IV-LD gearbox with a reduction ratio of 1.96:1, which allows for working speeds of 12 to 18 knots. Åsta B has a fuel capacity of 3000 litres and a fresh water capacity of 500 litres.

Åsta B began longlining for groundfish and is well equipped to be fishing in tough conditions. Åsta B can expect to fill her 52m3 fish hold with the aid of Mustad autoline system, a 3X fish processing system and Kæling slurry ice machine. She also comes ready with Beitir SB-230L line hauler and remote controlled TMP300L marine crane. Åsta B has accommodation for a crew of up to six.

Like all Cleopatra 50 models, Åsta B is a multi-functional vessel, capable of longlining, netting, potting and jigging, as well as non-fishing related activities.
