New SAILOR professional VHF Series launched
|

Next generation VHFs ideal for use on
workboats and fishing boats

Following a market introduction in January 2009, Thrane & Thrane
is launching the new SAILOR 6200 VHF Series. Orders are now being
taken on the SAILOR 6210 VHF, 6215 VHF DSC Class D and FCC
approved 6216 VHF DSC Class D, with first delivery expected later
this year.
The SAILOR 6200 VHF Series radios are built according to the
quality and performance that has made SAILOR the most trusted
provider of VHF equipment to professional vessels for decades.
These new VHFs are specially designed and developed for the
Fishing and Work Boat segments, offering all the strong features
and performance expected from a SAILOR VHF, including: |
- Full waterproof to IPx8 and IPx6 rating
- Replay
- Easy to read display with red backlight and dimming
- High quality, powerful 8W loudspeaker
- Up to 2 hand microphones/handsets and 2 control speaker mics
- Detachable hand microphones for rear and front connection

All three SAILOR 6200 VHF models are waterproof and feature a
powerful 8W loudspeaker that ensures good sound quality, even in
noisy environments. The tactile feel of the buttons and knobs
provides easy operation, whilst a large display with red backlight
protects the user’s night vision and makes viewing the intuitive
menu easy in all conditions.
The replay functionality that was first introduced by SAILOR is
also included in this next generation of SAILOR VHF. This function
allows the user to replay and clarify received information and
ensures that it is not lost or ignored if the user was occupied in
other critical operations, therefore improving vessel safety.
